Relationship therapy in Birmingham city centre

Save My Relationship

Marriages and relationships can be hard work. Frequent arguments and feeling hurt by your partner’s lack of attention or care can be difficult to forgive. Despite your efforts to make it better, you can find yourself banging your head against the wall as you both keep repeating the same conflicts over and over again.

We are here to help you repair your relationship. Many people seek couples counselling wondering whether their marriage can be saved. The reality is that you don’t need to know to begin repairing it. You just need to want to.

How we can help

We focus on teaching you ways to reduce the arguments and to help you feel closer. By sitting down with a Couples Counsellor, you can learn to work better together by:

  • Identifying the life-traps or baggage from your past that is undermining your current relationship
  • Spotting the coping-styles you adopt that end-up damaging your relationship
  • Learning new skills to deal with your own hurt, anger, frustration, guilt/shame and upset
  • Focusing on becoming the partner you want to be more of the time

Our Psychology service focuses on helping you get to the root of the problem quickly. We do this by looking at your typical areas of conflict early-on. We tackle the issues that cause you to fall out with each other. And, we identify new ways for you to move forwards together.

The best way to re-build your relationship is with the close support of a Relationship Therapist. Our approach to couples’ therapy uses Acceptance & Commitment Therapy/Training, which is a useful modern intervention within Cognitive Behaviour Therapies (CBT).
